Earlier we covered the 5 best states to retire in and today we’re going to look at the 5 worst states for retirees. After years of toil, sweat, and tears in the workforce, the last thing a retiree wants to do is settle down in a state which offers the fewest benefits to the retirement community. In a recent survey, all 50 states were evaluated to determine the most retirement friendly areas of the country.

While not all seniors are in the position to move after leaving the workforce, if you would like to relocate, there are some factors to consider including climate and environmental conditions, economy, unemployment, crime rates, life expectancy, and senior population growth.
